Intermittent breaks at work proven to be beneficial

Scientists at the University of North Carolina have shown that employees who are intermittently distracted from work are more involved in their work and less tired, Report informs referring to the Daily Mail.

Specialists analyzed two groups of office workers - 98 people from the United States and 222 from South Korea. The study participants talked to specialists about their sleep quality and overall level of fatigue.

Also, scientists found out how a poor night's sleep affects the frequency of breaks during the working day. It turned out that employees who were tired in the morning were more distracted from work than their colleagues. However, short rest periods decreased general fatigue and increased interest in work.
