"The situation with COVID-19 in Azerbaijan is stable; thanks to the measures taken, the situation was kept under control during the difficult period of the pandemic," President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Hans Kluge, the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe, on April 26, Report informs.
"Azerbaijan was one of the first countries to start vaccination at the beginning of last year, and so far, more than 13 million vaccine jabs have been administered in our country. The vaccination process in Azerbaijan has been met with understanding," Ilham Aliyev said.
The head of state noted that it was an example of confidence in the policy pursued by the state.
President Ilham Aliyev said that the pandemic-related bans had been gradually removed in Azerbaijan, adding that very few restrictions remained, and the Azerbaijani public understands this.
