Health Minister Teymur Musayev commented on the abolition of the requirement for masks indoors in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
According to him, new COVID-19 cases have significantly declined in the country: "The number of daily hospitalizations is also expressed in simple figures.
Considering all this, the issue is being considered, and certain decisions will probably be made. The pandemic, which has been lasting for more than two years, has taken our people far away from normal life. Therefore, I urge our citizens to be patient and wait for the official decision of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers."
The Minister also touched upon the increase in the number of new strains of COVID-19 infection in some European countries: "Sars-Cov-2 virus has repeatedly mutated, and new strains have appeared. Therefore, we called on our citizens to be careful in every statement. Because it is impossible to know in advance how the virus will behave. It is gratifying that several types of infections have weakened since the Omicron strain, and the severity of the disease is almost non-existent. We hope that the pandemic is coming to an end. "
