Eating pineapple helps keep teeth, bones, hair, and nails healthy, Natalya Pugacheva, a dietitian at the Health Management Clinic of the Sechenov University's Personalized Medical Institute, told Moscow City News Agency.

Report informs, citing RIA Novosti, that pineapple can be classified as a product of youth and beauty due to its silicon content.

"Also, pineapple is rich in manganese, which maintains energy metabolism at the molecular level and normal blood glucose levels. Pineapple also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. An enzyme called bromelain helps break down protein into amino acids, which help improve digestion. Fruit acids help in the production of gastric juice, which helps the proper functioning of the intestine," noted the doctor.

Pugacheva added that you could eat about 200 grams of fresh pineapple or drink 200 milliliters of its juice a day.
