Bill Gates announces coronavirus vaccine production date

Bill Gates, the American entrepreneur and founder of Microsoft, said that COVID-19 vaccines could be produced in the world in 2021, Report informs, citing foreign media.

According to him, it is necessary to make drugs available to developing countries:

"These vaccines will save the lives of millions of people. They will also allow us to develop a plan that will lead to the destruction of COVID-19 around the world." 

Bill Gates added that it is necessary to organize billions of doses to achieve these goals. It is also essential to finance the acquisition of it and the development of a global delivery system.

"Low-income countries do not have the same purchasing power as developed countries. Therefore, they run the risk of insufficient doses," he emphasized.

The entrepreneur announced a new agreement between 16 pharmaceutical companies and the Bill and Melinda Gates Charitable Foundation:

"In the document, the companies agreed to accelerate the production of vaccines and ensure their widespread distribution as soon as possible."
