Belgium to donate 20,000 doses of monkeypox vaccine to DR Congo

Belgium has announced that it will donate 20,000 doses of monkeypox vaccine from its stockpiles to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Belgian Foreign Ministry said on X, according to Report.

"Reaffirming our commitment to international obligations in matters of global health and ensuring equitable access to healthcare for all, we announce that we will donate 20,000 doses of the mpox vaccine to the DRC," the statement said.

France and Germany previously promised to donate 100,000 doses each to African countries, and 500,000 doses to Spain.
