Azerbaijan unveils exceptional cases for vaccination of teenagers 

Azerbaijan has unveiled the exceptional cases for vaccination of adolescents with mRNA Pfizer ("Comirnaty"), Report informs, citing Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry, those suffering from chronic diseases and studying abroad will be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Considering the current epidemiological situation, the official permits of the European Medicines Agency, the US Food and Drug Administration to vaccinate adolescents with mRNA Pfizer ("Comirnaty"), the Scientific Medical Council of the Ministry of Health, and the Scientific Committee of TABIB made the following decisions.

1. 16-18-year-olds in the Republic of Azerbaijan will be vaccinated against Covid-19 mRNA Pfizer ("Comirnaty") in exceptional cases.

2. Vaccination of adolescents aged 16-18 years will require the written request of one of the parents and the written consent of both parents, indicating the reason for vaccination.

3. Vaccination of 16-18-year-olds will be centralized at the Baku Health Center.

These individuals must queue online on the website https://randevu.its.gov.az/ through COVID-19 vaccine appointment electronic service.
