A forensic study of the remains of 12 servicemen, recently discovered in Edilli village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district, will be carried out based on the decision of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Director of the Association of Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy of the Ministry of Healthcare Adalat Hasanov told Report’s employee seconded to Khojavand.
Hasanov noted that during the examination, their age, height, gender, bone damage will be determined: “Now you can see traces of bullets on some of them. Looks like they were shot."
He added that after identification in accordance with the rules established by the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens, the remains will be handed over to their families.
