Azerbaijan, Pakistan mull new perspectives in healthcare

A meeting was held with the Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee at the Ministry of Health, Report informs, referring to the Ministry.

New perspectives for developing and strengthening cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science were discussed at the event.

Health Minister Teymur Musayev noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have deep roots.

The minister emphasized that the cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields is exemplary: "Our cooperation with Pakistan in the field of health policy and public health is carried out at the international level - within the framework of the cooperation of the ministers of health of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Organization of Economic Cooperation and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement."

In his turn, Bilal Hayee emphasized that Azerbaijan occupies a special place in the heart of the Pakistani people.

During his speech, the ambassador said that 25 Pakistanis currently study at Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU).

The sides also discussed the current state of cooperation and potential development opportunities, the importance of direct relations between the ministries in the field of medical science and within the framework of international organizations.
