Azerbaijan, Lithuania sign memo of understanding in food safety

The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AFSA) and the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on food security.

Report has learned from AFSA that the document was signed by Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan Goshgar Tahmazli and Director General of the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia Maris Balodis.

The Memorandum of Understanding serves to expand cooperation between the two countries in food safety.

The document covers several issues, such as the exchange of experience between experts in food security, the epizootic situation in countries, and the exchange of information in other areas necessary to ensure food safety.
