Azerbaijan calls on world to make healthcare more accessible

At the next panel meeting on the topic 'Building a renewed global health architecture: promoting, providing, protecting, powering and performing for health' within the framework of the 10th Global Baku Forum, Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev called on the world to make healthcare more accessible.

The minister noted the importance of establishing a health system at the national level.

According to him, experts in the field of health emphasize this: "All people should direct to a healthy lifestyle. This is emphasized in Azerbaijan's strategy approved by President Ilham Aliyev. There should also be connections between individual lifestyles and the healthcare system."

Musayev said that health is a fundamental human right: "For this, financial resources should be equal. Today, medical services are required to be more accessible. The role of the private sector in providing health is undeniable. We know that the healthcare system is not accessible in many countries, there are many obstacles. We call for these priorities to be met and for standards to be implemented in the health care system. Vaccination is one of the main elements of health."
