Baku. 5 February. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan Food Security Agency (AFSA has announced the results of monitoring Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI H5N8) held in the country from 14 to 18 January.
Report was informed by the Agency that no corpse of birds have been revealed within the monitoring held with the participation of the specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and Ministry of Health.
Inspection was carried out within the monitoring conducted on Absheron Peninsula, national parks and reserves in Shabran, Agjabedi and Lankaran regions, wetlands, and coastal areas of the Republic, epidemiological material was collected , as well as lood samples of 32 wild birds and 271 heads of various poultry caught in nature were examined in the Central veterinary laboratory of the Institute of food security of Azerbaijan. As a result of surveys no strain of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI H5N8) was revealed.
