Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan and Russia successfully cooperate in fighting pandemic

We are grateful for the advice and support that quickly organized from the first days, when the entire world, including our region and our countries, faced the coronavirus pandemic."

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told at a press conference following talks with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Report says.

"We organized a large number of joint video conferences. The secondment of the Russian doctors was highly appreciated in Azerbaijan. Russia also supplied us with test systems."

I want to note especially the element of cooperation between individual bodies of our countries in terms of sending Russian citizens who in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani citizens from Russia," the Minister said.

We are closely monitoring all developments. My colleagues said that the second vaccine is already on the way, and we are very interested in it. As members states of the World Health Organization, we adhere to the recommendations of WHO. From this standpoint, the accreditation of the WHO vaccine is very crucial for us. It will be another direction in which Azerbaijan and Russia will cooperate very successfully."
