Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) has provided guidelines for the prevention of COVİD-19 infection, which identifies the surfaces to be disinfected at grocery stores (wholesale and retail outlets, markets, etc.).
The main areas are:
- Mats in the entrance and exit (with chlorine solution or other disinfectants);
- Doors and doorknobs (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Cabinet for customers’ personal belongings and cabinet knobs (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Store shelves, racks and shopping baskets and carts (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Escalators in high-rise buildings and handrails, elevators (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Floors (with chlorine solution or other disinfectants);
- Refrigerator handles (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Changing rooms (with chlorine solution or other disinfectants);
- Toilets (with chlorine solution or other disinfectants);
- Warehouses (with chlorine solution or other disinfectants);
- Waste disposal areas (with chlorine solution or other disinfectants);
- Waste containers (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Payment terminals (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants);
- Conveyor belts (with alcohol solutions or other disinfectants).
