Ambassador: Britain will help create medical institutions in Azerbaijan's liberated areas

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with a delegation led by the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp, Azerbaijani Health Ministry told Report.

First Deputy Minister of Health, Acting Minister of Health Teymur Musayev said the Azerbaijani-British relations had a dynamic development trend. According to him, the two countries enjoy diversified rational relations in many areas. Musayev expressed hope that cooperation in scientific and medical spheres would be successfully developed in the future.

Sharp said Britain would assist in setting up medical institutions in the territories liberated during the 44-day war. Touching upon the COVID-19 pandemic, the ambassador stressed the need to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom in the post-COVID period.

The sides also stressed the importance of developing cooperation in health and medical science, as well as future cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
