74% of population older than 18 pass medical examination in Azerbaijan

"This year, 74% of the population over the age of 18 passed a medical examination in Azerbaijan," the head of the section of the medical aid organization of the Azerbaijani Healthcare Ministry, Gulmirza Poladov said.

According to him, 279,000 people were diagnosed with various primary diseases: "21,000 receive treatment in hospitals. 56,000 passed medical examinations, more than 1,800,000 people passed additional examinations. More than 99,000 people were discharged after recovery."

Poladov noted that, in general, medical institutions under the Ministry of Health received more than 47 million appeals, 712,000 patients were involved in inpatient treatment. Nearly 8,000 people used rehabilitation and sanitation services this year.
