18.1 million doses of vaccine brought to Azerbaijan since start of pandemic

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, 18.1 million doses of vaccine have been brought to Azerbaijan, Fagan Hasanzada, Head of the Strategy and Project Department of TABIB, said, according to Report.

Hasanzada recalled that during the pandemic, 14 PCR laboratories provided with high-quality equipment started operating in medical institutions under TABIB:

“43 of the 46 medical institutions mobilized to tackle the coronavirus were TABIB-affiliated medical institutions. In general, vaccination process was organized in more than 300 locations in the country and 18.1 million doses of vaccine were brought to the country.”

He said that the citizens who weren’t severely ill were arranged to receive treatment at home under the daily supervision of field doctors of polyclinics:

“41 stations covering the service area of 87 polyclinics have been established for this type of control function in Baku.”
