New Formula 1 season starts in Bahrain

The next 75th season of the Formula 1 World Car Racing Championship starts on Thursday in Sahir (Bahrain), Report informs, citing TASS.

The offseason turned out to be quite eventful. At first, everyone was shocked by the announcement of the transfer of seven-time British world champion Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes to Ferrari, although this will happen only next year. Such high-profile transfers in Formula 1 do not happen often, so this topic has been widely discussed both in the media and among fans. Then, a scandal in Red Bull appeared on the front pages of publications - one of the team's employees accused its head, Christian Horner, of indecent behavior. The concern conducted an internal investigation, as a result of which it was decided to acquit the specialist.

Against the background of these events, the three-day tests in Bahrain were quite routine. Upon their completion, all experts agreed that in the upcoming season there will again be no equal for Red Bull and its leader, Max Verstappen. The Dutchman will almost certainly take the fourth championship title and will most likely rewrite his own records set last season. He still has Mexican Sergio Perez as his teammate, who received a lot of criticism in 2023, and will try his best to prove his worth in order to keep his place in the team next year.
