Logan Sargeant in huge crash leaving F1 car in crumpled ball of flames

Formula 1's Dutch Grand Prix FP3 has been red-flagged after American driver Logan Sargeant's Williams was left crumbled and in flames following a big crash, Report informs via Daily Express US.

Sargeant's departure from Williams was announced ahead of F1's summer break with Ferrari's Carlos Sainz announced as his replacement.

But Sargeant's farewell tour for the rest of the 2024 campaign started with a car-crumpling crash in the wet conditions at Zandvoort. His rear-right tires lost grip on the grass at the exit of Turn 4, sending Sargeant's Williams slamming into the barrier on the left-hand side of the track.

The rear of Sargeant's Williams was left completely destroyed and luckily the American walked away unharmed as his car caught on fire. "I'm ok," Sargeant said on the team radio before emerging from the wreck.

The latest crash is one of several in Sargeant's two-and-a-half-season F1 career.
