Zakharova: Tripartite agreements between leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia remain relevant

The set of tripartite agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia remains relevant, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing, answering a question from an Armenian journalist about the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh.

She noted that neither party officially disavowed the agreement of November 9, 2020.

Zakharova also answered a question about the alleged destruction of Armenian cultural monuments in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

"Taking into account the regular mutual accusations of Armenia and Azerbaijan in connection with the destruction of cultural monuments, historical monuments, and religious sites, we call on Baku and Yerevan to make this issue a topic of bilateral negotiations. For our part, we are ready to provide any necessary assistance on this topic," she said.
