Zakharova: Last Moscow meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian FMs brought positions closer

The last round of negotiations between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, held in Moscow, contributed to the progress of relations between the parties and the convergence of their positions on a number of issues, Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said at a briefing held on May 24, Report informs.

She did not comment extensively on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements regarding Karabakh: "This is his own business. Russia is the mediator in the settlement. It is important for us that Armenia has a clear position."

According to Zakharova, Pashinyan's recent statements caused a complicated situation in Armenia.
