Baku. 21 January. REPORT.AZ/ Davos, Switzerland is hosting the annual World Economic Forum to focus mainly on 'Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution' this year.
With the main program to start on January 22, the forum in Davos will draw over 3,000 participants from 110 countries. More than 60 heads of states are expected to attend this global event, including Japan's Prime Minister Sindzo Abe, German chancellor Angela Merkal, Italy's PM Giuseppe Conte, Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Iraqi President Barham Saleh and others.
The US delegation is not attending the Davos forum amid shutdown.
The event participants will discuss strategic outlook on energy and digital economy, hold discussions related to global financial risks, globalization, cryptocurrency, developing markets, cybersecurity, future of democracy, etc. The situation in the Middle East, particularly, in Libya and Syria will also be discussed in Davos.
The forum will end on January 25 afternoon.
