Viktor Orban: Hungary's trade turnover with Turkic states exceeded $5B last year

Hungary's trade turnover with Turkic states exceeded $5 billion last year, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at the XI Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Bishkek, Report informs.

He noted that Hungary is also actively expanding cooperation with OTS countries in the energy sector.

"Türkiye became the first country from which we receive national gas. We also received our first gas supplies from Azerbaijan. In addition, cooperation in oil production has been established. Therefore, I would like to thank all of you for your support and assistance," he said.

Orban emphasized that Hungary has already begun fulfilling its obligations regarding contributions to the Turkic Investment Fund and has contributed $100 million.

"I very much hope that companies from the OTS will invest in Hungary for economic development and growth in our countries," he said.
