Victims of Khojaly tragedy commemorated in Paris

A documentary film "The Shusha Prison - Abode of Torture" ("İşgəncələr məbədi - Şuşa həbsxanası") was presented to the French audience at the Center of Culture in Paris.

According to Report's local bureau, the screening of the film, which was organized by the Association of French-Azerbaijani Dialogue, was attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France Leyla Abdullayeva, the spokesman of the country's State Security Service Tamerlan Rahimov, a representative of the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens Jamilagha Aghayev, as well as French lawyers, professors, journalists, etc.

The filming took place in the prison of the city of Shusha, where during the Armenian occupation, Azerbaijani prisoners and hostages were kept and subjected to torture. In the film, the Azerbaijanis, released from captivity, talk about the terrible events they witnessed.

Two videos dedicated to the Khojaly genocide, prepared with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in France, were also shown at the event.

Their author is photographer Maya Baghirova. The music was written by Azerbaijani pianist and composer Agharakhim Guliyev living in France.
