US State Department refutes Politico: Blinken didn't warn about Azerbaijan’s plans to attack Armenia

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken didn't tell American lawmakers about the possibility of an attack by Azerbaijan on Armenia; this is an incorrect statement and doesn't reflect reality at all, the US Embassy in Baku told Report.

A message sent to the editor's office with reference to an official representative of the State Department states: "The reporting in this article is inaccurate and in no way reflects what Secretary Blinken said to lawmakers.”

"As Secretary Blinken has stated, the United States strongly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both Azerbaijan and Armenia."

It was earlier reported that the Politico newspaper published an article claiming that the head of American diplomacy at a meeting with congressmen allegedly warned about a possible attack by Azerbaijan on Armenia.
