A delegation of the US State Department headed by Director of the Office for Caucasian Affairs and Regional Conflicts Mark Cameron has visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay their respects to the memory of those killed 33 years ago during the tragic events of January 20, Report informs.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family that lost their loved ones during the violent crackdown, and remember the sacrifices made by those peacefully making a stand in support of their beliefs,” reads the tweet.
