US Embassy in Baku deviates from Report's question

The post shared on X by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan claiming that Report News Agency spreads unreliable information is incorrect.

The post on X states that Report did not publish the embassy's response to an inquiry about preserving the cultural heritage of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia in 1988-1990.

To clarify the matter, we want to note that the US Embassy in Armenia announced a grant project to preserve Armenian heritage in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. In this regard, Report News Agency sent an inquiry to the US Embassy in Azerbaijan asking whether any steps were taken and what projects were implemented by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan to preserve the heritage of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia in 1988-1990.

The embassy's response contained information about work that the US would like to see in Azerbaijan's liberated territories. Thus, the diplomatic mission did not provide a proper answer to the question that Report had inquired about.

Report News Agency prepared an article based on the response without publishing the full text, as the embassy deviated from the topic. In the article, the US Embassy's response was presented in a summarized form, since the question concerned Armenia, while the answer was about Azerbaijan's territory.
