The United States has allocated about $3.6 million to Azerbaijan to fight the coronavirus, according to the statement from the US Department of State released on May 19.

It also includes $565,000 in MRA humanitarian assistance that will help vulnerable people and host communities during the pandemic.”

Earlier, the United States, through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), provided $1.7 million to support the Azerbaijani government’s efforts to respond to the ongoing outbreak in Azerbaijan.

Over the past 20 years, the US has invested more than $894 million in total assistance to Azerbaijan, including nearly $41 million for health.
