UN Human Rights Council adopts resolution at Azerbaijan’s initiative

As part of the 52nd regular session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, at the initiative of Azerbaijan, the resolution “Promoting human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals through transparent, accountable and efficient public services delivery” has been unanimously adopted, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

As many as 65 countries, including the US, China, Japan, EU member states, Australia, Canada, as well as a number of countries in Africa, Asia and America, have joined the mentioned resolution as co-sponsors.

The purpose of the resolution is to promote the principle of transparent, responsible and efficient provision of public services in the UN system based on the ASAN Service concept, which is one of the important achievements of Azerbaijan in the fight against corruption and which has become an international brand of the country.
