UN adopts declaration meeting Azerbaijan’s interests

Starting March 7, Kyoto, Japan is hosting the 14th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, Report informs.

The Kyoto Declaration was adopted during the congress aimed at strengthening efforts to combat global crime. This five-year document contains a number of provisions that meet Azerbaijan’s national interests on the basis of its proposals.

At the congress, which will last until March 12, Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation headed by Minister of Justice Fikret Mammadov, which includes officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Prosecutor’s Office.
