Ukrainian officer: Azerbaijan's assistance is priceless

The government of Azerbaijan and the local diaspora have provided invaluable aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, the officer of the Ukrainian army of Azerbaijani origin, Murad Nasirov, said in a conversation with journalist Hamid Hamidov on Diaspora TV.

According to him, at the beginning of the war, the diaspora organized a separate train to evacuate Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine, but Ukrainians could also use this train: "The funds for this train were fully paid by the Azerbaijani diaspora, and it showed itself in the best way."

The Ukrainian officer also reminded that Azerbaijan regularly sends humanitarian aid to Ukraine: "In March 2022, we went to the SOCAR gas station. In my car, there were always flags of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. We were told that refueling is free. In other words, SOCAR helped when the war started and is still doing it now. Ambulances, soldiers, and volunteers refuel for free."
