Türkiye-Nakhchivan gas pipeline construction nears completion, consul general says

The construction of the highly anticipated Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline is set to be completed in the near future, Asip Kaya, the Turkish Consul General in Nakhchivan told journalists following an event celebrating the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.

According to Report, consul General Kaya emphasized the consistent efforts being made to expand ties between Türkiye and Nakhchivan, highlighting the groundbreaking ceremony for the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline in September 2021, which was attended by the presidents of both countries.

"The construction of this pipeline is expected to be finalized in the coming days," the diplomat stated.
Kaya noted that the brotherly bond between Türkiye and Azerbaijan serves as a shining example for the entire world.

"The friendly and fraternal ties between our peoples are rooted in ancient history. We have always stood by each other's side, in both joy and sorrow. Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, particularly the connections between Türkiye and Nakhchivan, are growing stronger with each passing day," he affirmed.
