US President Donald Trump will sign a document on suspending the implementation of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.
According to information obtained by Report, the document will be signed on August 8 within the framework of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Washington.
This document, which is the result of successful cooperation established between President Ilham Aliyev and his American counterpart Donald Trump, will put an end to the injustice that Azerbaijan faced 33 years ago.
During a period when Azerbaijani territories were still occupied by Armenia, the US Congress in 1992 adopted a law prohibiting US state aid to Azerbaijan, using the pretext that Baku was allegedly imposing a "blockade" on Armenia.
Although US presidents temporarily suspended the implementation of Section 907 in subsequent periods, the Biden-Blinken administration reinstated this unjust decision and tried to use it as a means of pressure against Azerbaijan.
