Trend of Islamophobia in Western countries increasing year by year, says Sudanese envoy

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Sudanese embassy in Azerbaijan Mustafa Abdul Halim Mahmud has expressed concern over the escalating trend of Islamophobia in Western countries.

Speaking to Report, the diplomat conveyed his pride in participating for the second time in an anti-Islamophobia event hosted in Baku.

He highlighted the increasing instances of Islamophobia, particularly in the West, labeling it as a grave issue.

The diplomat praised Azerbaijan’s efforts to combat Islamophobia, citing the country’s proactive role during its presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement.

He noted that Azerbaijan’s initiatives have been noteworthy and that the number of participants in this year’s anti-Islamophobia conference has doubled since the previous year, commending Azerbaijan for its successful conference organization.
