The summit of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) is a great historic achievement of the Azerbaijani state and its diplomacy, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan March 11 in Baku, Report informs referring to the Akorda website.
He noted that the level of cooperation and interaction between the two countries is quite high.
“I accept with great gratitude the invitation to take part in the COP29 summit - this is a great historiс achievement of the Azerbaijani state and its diplomacy. The summit is of paramount importance in terms of resolving existing climate problems and global cooperation. Baku will certainly cope with this task,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will be held in Azerbaijan in November this year.
