Term in office of head of British Council in Azerbaijan expires 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, has today received the head of the British Council's Office in Azerbaijan, Samr Shah, on the expiration of his term in office, Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry.

Noting that Azerbaijan attaches importance to cooperation with the British Council, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highly appreciated the projects implemented by the British Council, which has been operating in our country for 28 years, in the field of education and culture.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov wished Samr Shah success in his future endeavors and expressed confidence in the fruitful cooperation with the new head of the British Council in Azerbaijan.

Samr Shah spoke about the work done together with the staff of the Council during his tenure in Azerbaijan and shared his memories in this regard.

They discussed other issues of mutual interest.
