Tase: Armenia must be held accountable for crimes against Azerbaijan

"This is an atrocious act orchestrated by Armenian terrorist leadership hiding in Yerevan and must be condemned by the world's major governments and International Organizations," US political scientist, an expert in international relations Peter Tase told Report, commenting on the escalation on Azerbaijani-Armenian border in the direction of Nakhchivan.

"On August 2, at about 03:27 (GMT +4), the Armenian armed forces' units from the positions near the Arazdeyen village of the Vedi region using small arms subjected to fire the positions of the Azerbaijan Army in the direction of the Heydarabad settlement of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic... As one of the very few Americans who has visited Heydarabad city, I am appalled and shocked to read that Armenian soldiers have used live ammunition to attack a city that is perhaps the most well organized, small urban town in the Caucasus; leaving behind many cities in developed Europe," the expert said.

Tase added that the Armenian Armed Forces must be held responsible and brought to the international court of justice to pay for their atrocious acts committed against the innocent communities of Azerbaijan. On the Armenian side, the Armenian Arazdeyen village - next to Heydarabad - is hell on earth, only two dozen abandoned huts are seen in this village, and even Armenian soldiers suffer from malnutrition in this territory. Armenia must be held accountable for attacking the military posts and civilian residences inside the city of Heydarabad, Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan.
