Tajik President to visit Azerbaijan

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, will pay a business visit to Azerbaijan, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who is in New York to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, told the US bureau of Report.

The minister emphasized that the relations with Azerbaijan are at a high level: "Recently, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, came to our country on a business visit. During the visit, the leaders of the two countries signed several very important bilateral cooperation documents. Also, a few days ago, we organized the 5th Consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. President Ilham Aliyev was invited to the meeting as an honored guest by the head of the country, Emomali Rahmon. We were very pleased with his participation in the meeting."

“Recently, a summit on the Special Program for the Economies of Central Asian Countries (SPECA) will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Tajikistan is preparing for high-level participation in the summit under the leadership of the head of state,” the minister said.
