Suleyman Sensoy: Strengthening cooperation of Turkic states to create new balances in region

Of course, one of those who make great efforts in the process of strengthening cooperation and relations of the Turkic states in various fields is President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the World Turkic Forum Suleyman Sensoy told the Turkish bureau of Report.

He stressed that in terms of future prospects, the victory of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War for the liberation of its lands was necessary:

“The goal of opening the Zangazur corridor with the liberation of Karabakh from occupation is also very important from the point of view of the physical unification of the Turkic states. As you know, these ties have been deliberately weakened for many years. Naturally, in the current situation, this is a very big business and requires a lot of responsibility. In this regard, the Turkic countries led by Turkey and Azerbaijan should demonstrate solidarity against possible risks, strengthen cooperation,” he said.

The chairman of the World Turkic Forum touched upon the words of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about his visit to Shusha after the Ramadan holiday: “I highly appreciate it from a moral and strategic point of view. I believe that the leaders of other Turkic states should visit Karabakh as well, and after the restoration of infrastructure, an important summit should be held.”

Sensoy also emphasized the importance of economic cooperation between the Turkic states and the implementation of common projects in this area:

“We believe that an investment fund and a development bank should be created between the Turkic states. At the summit, this issue was noted by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This can play an important role in financing projects in the Turkic world and investing in the infrastructure of Karabakh. With the liberation of Karabakh, direct contacts have been restored between the Turkic countries - from the Balkans to Central Asia. The Turkic Investment Fund, the Turkic Development Bank will create new balances in the region.”
