State Department: Azerbaijan, Armenia made significant progress on number of issues

Azerbaijan and Armenia have made significant progress on a number of issues, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at a regular briefing, Report informs.

He noted that the US is looking forward to the next meeting of ministers from Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"They have made significant progress on a number of issues. Even in the last meeting, they narrowed the number of issues that remain unresolved," he said.

On June 27-29, the talks between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan were held at the George Shultz National Training Center for Foreign Affairs in Arlington, Virginia. While in Washington, the ministers met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.
