South Africa keen to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku. 23 February. REPORT.AZ/ The non-resident South African Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan Pule Malefane will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan from 26 February - 2 March.

Report informs, the Ambassador will be accompanied by officials from the South African Embassy in Turkey, representatives of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation as well as a business delegation from South Africa.

The programme will include meetings with Azerbaijan government officials, the Mayor of Baku, a signing of a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding with the Azerbaijan Republic of Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate and provide a framework for trade relations between South Africa and Azerbaijan.

A trade and investment seminar to be held on February 28 in cooperation with the Investment Promotion Foundation at the Baku Business Centre, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

Ambassador Malefane will also deliver a lecture marking the Centennial of Nelson Mandela on 27 February at the Ada University from 13h00-15h00.
