Shvydkoy: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s jubilee marked by convincing success

Ilham Aliyev’s sixtieth birthday is marked by Azerbaijan’s convincing success in the political and socio-economic spheres, which is the main gift for the president’s jubilee date, Mikhail Shvydkoy, special envoy of the President of the Russian Federation for international cultural cooperation, told the Russian bureau of Report.

He noted that congratulations addressed to Ilham Aliyev on the president’s birthday will sound not only in Azerbaijan, but also in many countries of the world.

“In Russia, toasts to Ilham Aliyev’s health will sound especially warm and friendly, because the president of Azerbaijan has many friends in Russia. They are not only among his compatriots, but also among those who have met his family for many decades. Ilham Aliyev is the worthy son of his outstanding father, the great son of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, who made huge efforts for the country to gain independence and its unique voice on the world stage,” Shvydkoy said.

He noted that humanitarian contacts hold a special place in cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan: “The attention paid to humanitarian relations between Russia and Azerbaijan by the respected President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva is noticeable and very important.”

“Sixty years is the age of real masculine maturity. In many ways, this is the time when there is a long life ahead, and there is enough strength to carry out the most difficult plans. This is what I wish to Mr. President for the benefit of the Azerbaijani people,” Shvydkoy concluded.
