Shafiyev: New format of Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations may be created

A Washington format of talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan might be created, Farid Shafiyev, head of the Center for Analysis of International Relations, said at a press conference on the results of 2022, Report informs.

Shafiyev said that it depends on several factors, including the situation on the Khankandi-Lachin road:

“Amazingly, Azerbaijan, being a victorious state, makes more efforts for peace. The negotiating format of Moscow and Brussels can be restored in the future. The format proposed by Washington may also be created. But no other seems reasonable.”
