Selakovic says Azerbaijan, Serbia united by commitment to same values

"The Serbian Republic attaches particular importance to the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan," Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic said during a press conference following a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs.

"Our talks today were very successful and confirmed our mutual desire to develop our bilateral and multilateral relations. The Serbian Republic attaches special importance to the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan. This meeting was an excellent opportunity to understand in which direction we need to move further to increase our cooperation in all spheres" Selakovic added that the Serbian side proposed holding political consultations of this kind on an annual basis and extending the consular consultations by the end of this year.

"There are many areas in which our cooperation can be more developed than it is now. We have Azerbaijani companies operating here, especially in infrastructure projects. Azberg is one of these companies," he said.

The foreign minister noted that commitment to the same values unites the two countries.

"These are the values of public international law, mutual support for the sovereignty and inviolability of borders," the minister stressed.
