Secretary-general: OTS will hold large-scale events to promote Shusha next year - EXCLUSIVE

"The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will hold large-scale events and implement projects in cooperation with the relevant institutions of the member countries next year in order to promote the city of Shusha as the cultural center of the Turkic world," the new Secretary-General of OTS, Kubanichbek Omuraliyev, told Report.

According to him, these activities are intended to serve as an additional mechanism for broader recognition of Shusha, Karabakh, and Azerbaijan worldwide.

The secretary-general also said the unity of the Turkic states is important in the current geopolitical environment: "Because we are united by a common past, culture, language, and religion. It gives us great power. At present, the states forming the OTS have no political disagreements with each other. Closeness in approaches to processes and events happening in the world and our region strengthens us even more. Since the primary purpose of over-the-counter trading in modern times is to develop and expand economic diplomacy, this topic is also very relevant and is always at the center of our attention."

Omuraliyev also emphasized that his main task as the new head of the organization is to ensure the implementation of the decisions made by the heads of state of the member countries: "We are already working on the development of a strategy for the implementation of the agreements reached at the OTS summit held in Samarkand. At the same time, we will expand the sphere of activity of agreements reached in areas such as transport, logistics, and customs."
