Sarajevo completes work to open Bosnia's Embassy in Azerbaijan

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is in the final stages of opening an embassy in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the official page of the Bosnian Foreign Ministry on the social network X.

"During the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov minister Dino Konakovic welcomed the opening of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Sarajevo and highlighted that BiH is in the final stages of opening its own embassy in Baku, which will strengthen mutual relations, especially economic ties. Both sides agreed there are no open issues between the two countries, but work on formal agreements must be accelerated," the information says.

In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan noted the importance of using the prospects for developing cooperation in tourism, agriculture, industry, technology, and mutual investments. Bayramov emphasized that the upcoming COP29 session creates favorable opportunities for new areas of partnership between Azerbaijan and BiH.

According to the information, Bosnia and Herzegovina was also informed in detail about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, about large-scale restoration and construction work in the liberated territories, the fight against mine threats, as well as the agenda for normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
