Russian political scientist: Azerbaijan will not make concessions to Armenia on Karabakh issue

Azerbaijan will not make concessions to Armenia on the issue of Karabakh, Karabakh is Azerbaijan, Russian political scientist Yevgeny Mikhailov said, Report's Russian bureau informs.

"Yerevan needs to fulfill all the signed tripartite agreements. All the 'motions' of the Armenian policy to involve France, which takes a purely pro-Armenian position, and to try to 'pull out' preferences for itself will not lead to anything good. I doubt that a peace treaty can be reached through the efforts of the European Union and France. Everything that they are doing now is contrary to the interests of Azerbaijan," Mikhailov said.

The political scientist shared his thoughts on how the actions and statements of the European Union can be interpreted. "The actions of French President Emmanuel Macron and the EU mission in general are undermining the immense efforts that Russia has made to stabilize the situation in the South Caucasus," he said.

Mikhailov noted that the recent actions and statements of the French president are petty revenge, since, according to the expert, Paris is now losing political influence around the world.
