Russian media: Modern Azerbaijan was created by Heydar Aliyev

There is no person in Azerbaijan who does not know who Heydar Aliyev is. It is known outside the country that modern Azerbaijan was created by this man, reads an article “Heydar Aliyev. “As one of the brightest leaders of the national republics, Heydar Aliyev was elected a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU, and in November 1982 he became the 1st Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. His area of ​​responsibility includes such different areas as mechanical engineering, light industry and transport, as well as culture and education,” the article says.

“Heydar Aliyev oversaw the huge construction projects of those times - gas pipelines from Western Siberia and Urengoy to the European part of the country and abroad, the Baikal-Amur Mainline. He went there and inspected the construction sites. With his participation, an interregional power transmission line was built from Moscow to Sverdlovsk, which was necessary to create a full-fledged infrastructure in the Urals and Siberia.”
