Baku. 5 December. REPORT.AZ/ Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Azerbaijan in mid-December, Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova announced today at a briefing.
Lavrov will take part in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (COM) of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), which will be held in Baku on December 14.
According to Zakharova, during the meeting in Baku, the results of the semiannual Azerbaijani chairmanship in the BSEC will be summed up, "which passed under the motto implying strengthening the interconnectedness of the Black Sea region with special focus on trade issues."
A wide range of issues of the regional agenda for economic cooperation will also be considered, including such pressing sectoral issues as transport, energy, agriculture, science, technology, and health care.
