Russia24 TV prepared a program about the international conference “Neo-colonialism: Violation of Human Rights and Injustice” held in Baku, Report informs.
The program notes that France conducted about 200 nuclear tests in Polynesia and hundreds of the same tests in Algeria in the last century. The people of Algeria are still suffering because of the mines planted by France.
The program also contains an address by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, read out to the conference participants by the presidential assistant, head of the foreign policy department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev:
“Most of the bloody crimes in the colonial history of mankind were committed by France. Having occupied dozens of countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, the Pacific region, and Latin America, France plundered their wealth and kept their peoples in slavery for many years. France committed numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity in these territories. The French military committed genocide against hundreds of thousands of civilians based on their ethnicity and religion.”
Russia24 emphasizes that the mine problem directly affected Azerbaijan itself, which became another complaint against Paris, which supports Yerevan.
